Every year we struggle with ambrosia on the territory of the “Pine coast”. In summer such work becomes regular.
For the first time this plant was described by the botanist Carl Linnaeus. In its homeland, in North America, ambrosia has many natural enemies, so it is not as common as in those regions of the planet where it was brought.
How could old Linnaeus suppose that this delicate plant will become a malicious weed that terrifies respectable agricultural workers? Interesting fact: the ambrosia pumps water as a pump and it is stronger than corn and sunflower in this point. Almost all cultivated plants quickly dry up if they are close to it.
Ambrosia is harmful to humans. Many people know about its allergic properties.
So we should control ambrosia!
