We continue to maintain the good traditions of our township. It's time to protect our trees and plants from various pests.

For several years running we have been using a biological agent –Trichogramma.

This week our specialists began spraying Trichogramma in the green areas of the township and in the pine forest of the forestarea.

This procedure consists in using their natural enemies against pests. Trichogramma’s females find pest eggs, pierce them and lay their larvae there. Damaged eggs turn black on the second day and can be easily distinguished from non-parasitic ones. On the third day in the parasitized eggs, you can see the larva of the Trichogramma.

Our chief gardener of the township, Irina, advises residents who plan to use this miracle insect at home to follow all the rules for storing of Trichogramma.

“First Trichogramma should be stored in a room in a bright, warm (but not hot) place. In a few days they will begin to ripen and you will be able to see them. It is best to release Trichogramma in the garden in warm, dry weather, without strong winds”, emphasized Irina. So that we will defeat all enemies... with faith in the bestfuture.
